Great new polling numbers today out of the early primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina! According to the American Research Group, John McCain is leading in all three states.

In Iowa, John McCain is leading the race for the Republican nomination with 26% of the support from likely caucus goers. Rudy Giuliani is second with 19%, followed by Mitt Romney at 14% and Fred Thompson at 13%.

In New Hampshire, 29% of likely Republican primary voters pick John McCain, followed by Romney with 24% and Giuliani with 17%.

In South Carolina, McCain again leads the field with 36% of the support of likely primary voters. Giuliani is in second place with 23% while Fred Thompson places third with 10%.

Early polls are just that, early polls; we all know the only poll that matters is the one on Election Day. But, these are encouraging numbers. John McCain is the most qualified person running for President and the only candidate ready to lead from day one. He is not only well positioned to win the nomination, but his recent steadfast opposition against surrender in Iraq, demands for fiscal restraint and energy independence, and announcement tour are resonating with voters in the key early primary states.
